How to clean panel blinds?

The easiest way to clean panel blinds is by first taking them off the window and using hot, soapy water or a mixture of vinegar and warm water to gently wipe down each slate  with a cloth. Remember to wring out the cloth in between cleaning each panel so you don’t end up with streaks. You can also use a vacuum cleaner with the brush attachment to remove all the dust and dirt from the slats by gently brushing them with the vacuum cleaner brush.

Yes, panel blinds can help thermal insulation. The layer of fabric between the panes of glass in a window helps to prevent heat gain in the summer. They are better at regulating your indoor temperature in your home or office than vertical blinds as they have less blades to allow the heat to escape. However, panel blinds are less effective at preventing heat loss in the cooler months. 

Panel blinds are preferred over vertical blinds for temperature control. However, we recommend looking at roller blinds or roman blinds for improved insulation in a blind.
